We are so excited about this - the Binson Stereophonica Drum Delay. Launched at the NAMM show, this promises to be a very popular product - we already love the original, but now in stereo! This will be a must have for studios and anyone who loves real mechanical echoes (Tony is queued up already).
TRex describe it as "the world’s first stereo drum delay" but that is not strictly correct as Binson did make one stereo machine, in very small numbers. The P.E.603 - Stereo used two mono drum assemblies squeezed into the same size chassis. We've only seen one, about ten years ago and restoring it was not something our techs would wish to repeat! TRex's is much more sensible (and reliable!) and features a single drum/motor with four stereo playback heads, balanced I/O, MIDI, and an externally-mounted wet-only switch for aux send use.
