A modern recreation of one of the most iconic and sought after vintage echo machines of all time.
Echorecs were famously used by Pink Floyd, and were a big contributor to David Gilmour's guitar tone (and Rick Wright's keyboards, not to mention Roger Waters' bass - see Echoes). They are supremely versatile and are just as at home on drums (or drum machines - making techno) as guitar - Jimmy Page's Binson was employed by Glynn Johns to help John Bonham create one of the most iconic drum beats of all time on When The Levee Breaks.
I love this new machine: it is a stunningly good Echorec that does just what you’d expect from a brand new solid state Binson, but is more robust, reliable, lighter and much, much cheaper - without the maintenance/tech requirements of a vintage Binson Echorec.
It can be delivered with a wet/dry mix (standard) or set up for wet-only aux send/desk use. You can still switch between these option internally but select the option you’re most likely to use.Â
