SOMA PULSAR-23; is a semi-modular analogue drum synth built for hands-on creativity. Four powerful voices, patchable modulation, and looping make it one of the most expressive rhythm instruments we’ve ever used.
The PULSAR-23 is powerful, tactile, and capable of sounds that feel alive under your hands.
With four discrete analogue voices (kick, snare, bass/percussion, and hi-hat) and a wide range of modulation and patching options, it’s designed for performance and exploration rather than preset beats. Each voice can record and loop its own patterns, allowing rhythms to build, shift, and evolve in real time.
The turret patch points make connecting modulation sources fast and intuitive, while the onboard distortion, compression, and delay add everything from subtle movement to complete sonic mayhem. It integrates easily with modular or DAW setups but stands on its own as a deeply playable instrument.
We’ve spent many hours exploring the PULSAR-23 at Soundgas and it continues to surprise and inspire - equally at home in experimental sets or driving the heart of a track.
