Arbiter Soundimension echo unit for sale from the John Paul Jones studio collection.
This ultra rare sixties mechanical echo is almost impossible to find in any condition, never mind near mint and functioning well (for a 60 year old mechanical echo). It's clearly spent most of the last 50 years stored carefully and is not suffering the ravages of time like most you'll find.
These are full of rare and very expensive NKT275 germanium transistors as found in the early Fuzz Faces. This unit is complete and original and in working order: it offers characterful repeats rather than pristine echoes!
It uses a proprietary oxide-coated spinning drum which is impossible (as far as we're aware) to replace or refurbish. Most are damaged beyond use: this is something of a unicorn.
